Communications Analyst/Consultant
Our client, one of Europe’s foremost independent economics consultancies, is looking for an Analyst/Consultant for its Communications team. The successful candidate will have two to three years of experience dealing with competition, finance and/or regulatory issues in the communications sector, with an excellent understanding of regulatory tools in the electronic communications and postal industries. You will also have a proven ability to analyse and present influential evidence and argument.
The company combines the most rigorous economic thinking and quantitative methods with a practical business approach to advise clients on matters in competition, finance and regulation. Their clients include regulatory authorities in Europe and globally, fixed and mobile operators, public service broadcasters and postal incumbents.
The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work with experienced staff and clients on a range of influential and thought-provoking projects. You will be encouraged to develop new ideas and approaches, and the best candidates can expect rapid promotion.
To apply for this post, you should have:
- a first-rate undergraduate degree in economics, and ideally a Masters degree as well, with a focus on industrial organisation;
- an excellent grasp of economic theory and quantitative methods;
- two to three years’ experience in a communications regulator, an operator in the sector or a consultancy;
- the ability to work in teams and build relationships;
- excellent writing and interpersonal skills.
